Delivery & Shipping Times

Delivery and shipping times can vary depending on the item and item bulk or weight.
UK mainland orders are normally delivered within 3 -5 working days and deliveries to Scottish Highlands and Islands, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland will usually take a day or two longer. Wherever possible, we will provide an indication of delivery/shipping times, when we confirm your order.

We will notify you when the order has been despatched from our central distribution warehouse.
A signature will be required when the package(s) are delivered to you.

We can arrange to drop a parcel with a neighbour if required.. Just let us know that's what you would like us to arrange in the 'comments' section of the order form.

Northern Ireland, and UK Off-Shore Islands

Delivery charges to Northern Ireland and UK off-shore islands are more expensive than UK mainland deliveries. Estimates of charges can be calculated on the shopping cart page using our 'Shipping Estimator' before you check out.

Specifying An Alternative Delivery Address

For your convenience, we drop ship orders directly to your customer.
When you place an order, add your customer's address by clicking the 'Change Address' button on the checkout page.

Please note that invoices and payment receipts are sent to your billing address ONLY. We do not include any paperwork in the parcel.
For security reasons, it may be necessary for us to contact you by telephone, email, or letter requesting confirmation of the order before despatching goods to an alternative delivery address, if the order appears to be 'unusual'.
Please use the Special Delivery/Shipping Instructions section, after you have entered your billing address at the checkout, to give us any instructions which will help to ensure that your order reaches you without delay.

Stock Levels

Whilst we do our level best to ensure that stocks of goods displayed our online website are current, there can be times when the web site gets out of 'phase' with stocks at our warehouse, particularly when retail stockists collect large orders directly from the warehouse. We are working towards mechanisms to synchronise stock levels between the warehouse and online website, but in the meantime, it could happen that on occasion you may order product(s) that went out of stock in the last 60 minutes or so. If that occurs, we will contact you with a re-stock date, and option to cancel or 'hold' the order.

Customer Satisfaction Complaints & Returns

We hope that you will be delighted with the products and service you receive from UK Trading. We understand however that, from time to time, we might get something wrong. Should this happen, we would like the opportunity to make amends as soon as possible.
If you are ever less than 100% satisfied with any aspect of the UK Trading service or any product you receive from us, please contact us right away.
We will acknowledge your complaint within 2 days and deal immediately with issues arising from mis-delivery or goods damaged on arrival. We aim to settle your complaint as quickly as possible and promise to keep you informed throughout the process.

Damaged Or Faulty Goods

We expect your order to reach you in perfect condition. You should inspect your products as soon as you receive them and, should you find that any item is damaged or defective, please contact us immediately.
If you are unable to inspect your order before signing to accept it, we advise you to sign the delivery document as either "unchecked" or, if appropriate, "packaging damaged". Failure to do so will void any claim for a refund or replacement if the goods are subsequently found to have been damaged in transit.
Having done this, should you then need to return any of your products as faulty or damaged, after you have accepted them, we will resolve the matter in accordance with the recommendations in The Supply of Goods to Consumers Regulations 2002.

All products carry a twelve month warranty. Faulty products can be returned directly to us and we will send out a replacement, where no replacement is available, a refund will be issued. The customer should return it along with the order number and a description of the fault. If the product is faulty, we will pay for the postage to return it to us (return postage should be at reasonable cost).

Order Cancellation / Unwanted Goods

You have the right to cancel your order unconditionally, and to request a full refund , for any item purchased on this web-site but not yet despatched.
To cancel your order, please email or write to our Returns Department, quoting your invoice number, prior to despatch.

If you cancel your order after goods have been despatched, you will be responsible for any return carriage charges.

If you decide that you are not happy with any item after delivery has been made, you must advise us by email or post, within 7 working days of receipt (starting the day after delivery).

To return an item that is simply unwanted on arrival, you can do so as long as it is unopened (if sealed packaging), undamaged and in a resalable condition.

Once you have notified us of your intention to return an item, you must either return it to us yourself or ask us to collect it within 28 days of receipt. Goods cannot be returned to us after this time period.

How To Return Goods

A return address label is attached to each order with our returns address on it (see below), if an order cannot be delivered the Post Office will keep it for five days, after that it will be returned to sender.

We recommend that you use a recorded delivery service and that you adequately insure the goods for the return journey so that the full value is covered in event of loss or damage. UK Trading cannot be held responsible for goods lost or damaged in transit, and your claim for a refund will be void.

Refunds
